I’m not Kim Kardashian, so it’s not like my image is my brand, but I do like having control of how my image is used. Meaning: I hate being tagged or having my photo posted on other people’s social media walls without permission. Lame? Maybe. Perhaps it is because I just don’t like having my picture taken. Occasionally, sure. Do I take a lot of photos from my iPhone sure. But the obsession with sharing makes me a bit crazy. So I wrote a story about it (I Wish There Was An Official Facebook Picture Posting Etiquette Guide) for a cool website called The Mid. Between writing and pub date, The Mid became Club Mid and then merged with ScaryMommy.com. I’m not a mommy, just scary. Hence me explaining that fact. In any event–the story must have hit home with a lot of people because at the time of this writing it has been shared on Facebook by 19.2K people! That’s a lot. For me anyway. Not for, say, Kim Kardashian. Anyway, I hope you enjoy reading it. And feel free to post and share at your leisure. I give you permission.
